Pack Strategy
Which sets to open, what to buy, and why — optimized for your binder goals
💡 Strategy Tip
Balance singles purchases (efficient) with pack openings (fun). Budget roughly 60% for singles and 40% for sealed products. Always check Cardmarket prices before buying — singles are almost always cheaper than pulling specific cards.

Japanese Booster Box
mediumVia Meccha Japan (EU warehouse)
Guaranteed SR per box, higher card quality, unique artwork. Japanese 151 box is ~€29 — incredible value for Gen 1 binder
Order from Meccha Japan — EU warehouse means no customs fees. Japanese 151 box at ~€29 is the cheapest way to get Gen 1 cards. Better pull rates than English across all sets.
Pokémon 151
mediumSingles on Cardmarket (sealed is out of print)
Pure Gen 1 — every card is relevant. But sealed products are out of print and marked up significantly
Sealed 151 bundles/ETBs are well above MSRP — not worth it for opening. Buy singles on Cardmarket instead. Or get the Japanese 151 box from Meccha Japan (~€29) for the opening experience.
